My story
From Damascus and Hamra to Moscow.
Beirut, Hamra
I was born in Damascus; my earliest memories are of Hamra in Beirut. Our family lived and worked around an antique shop almost opposite the Berkeley Hotel — old leather-bound books, coins and objects from many countries. Arabic was the language of the street, Russian the language of home. I remember walks by the sea with my mother, the taste of manakish and the sound of the radio.
Moscow and education
In Moscow I studied political science at RUDN, business at Synergy University and global public policy at RANEPA, with journalism training in Istanbul. Today I am a PhD researcher in the sociology of management at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics; my thesis explores social-digital technologies for managing migration.
Media
From articles to live broadcasts, I comment for Arabic, Russian and English-language channels and host the “Global Focus” programme on Radio Aurora.
Community and business
In 2023 I was Vice-President for International Cooperation at JCI Moscow; in 2026 I became President of the JCI Global Russian Club within the Russian Youth Chamber. Through Bridzhe Consulting, founded in 2022, I help Russian companies enter Gulf markets and connect Arab partners with Russia. I call it community diplomacy: people first, then protocols.
